About the Soma Atelier

To create beautiful and elegant custom-made designer wedding dresses on the Central Coast and Australia-wide, Yan works closely with his customers every step of the way.  He takes each bride through a personalised process to bring together dreams, ideas, and inspiration, resulting in a gown that truly reflects each client’s unique style. When complete, each bride has her own custom-made wedding dress showcasing her unique style. Behind it all is Yan Pothin, the creator of Soma Couture.

Yan has over 20 years of experience in Bridal Couture and Fashion Design, working in fashion houses both locally in Australia and abroad. Yan has an incredible vision that drives the company and the Soma Couture brand, but at its core, he is committed to ensuring Soma Couture creates gorgeous designer wedding dresses that Central Coast brides love!

He has long cherished a desire to make each bride’s dream come true on such a special day, their wedding day.  This is reflected in his attention to detail as he strives to create the dream dress for each and every bride.

Beyond his influences, his passion for beautiful fabrics, matched with his exquisite design concepts, has established Yan Pothin as a leading-edge designer whose creative fulfilment lies in designing stunning, unique couture gowns.
